We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Special Events Security Officer to ensure the safety and privacy of our high net worth attendees during our exclusive events.

Job Summary:

As a Special Events Security Officer, you will be responsible for implementing and overseeing security measures to protect our clients, staff, and assets during special events. Leveraging your background in military or law enforcement, as well as your strong interpersonal skills and operational security instincts, you will play a critical role in maintaining a safe and secure environment while upholding the privacy and confidentiality of our high net worth attendees.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Security Planning and Risk Assessment:

• Collaborate with event planners and management to assess security risks and develop comprehensive security plans for each event.
• Conduct thorough site assessments to identify potential security vulnerabilities and recommend appropriate countermeasures.
• Coordinate with local law enforcement and emergency services as necessary to ensure a coordinated response in case of emergencies.

2. Access Control and Perimeter Security:

• Implement access control measures to restrict entry to authorized personnel and attendees.
• Monitor and secure event entrances, exits, and perimeters to prevent unauthorized access or breaches.
• Conduct thorough bag checks and screenings to detect prohibited items and ensure the safety of all attendees.

3. Close Protection and VIP Security:

• Provide close protection services for high net worth attendees, executives, and VIP guests.
• Maintain a visible presence and proactively identify and mitigate potential security threats or risks.
• Coordinate with event organizers and VIP handlers to ensure seamless execution of security protocols while minimizing disruption to the event.

4. Emergency Response and Crisis Management:

• Remain vigilant and prepared to respond swiftly and effectively to security incidents or emergencies.
• Implement emergency protocols and evacuation procedures as necessary to ensure the safety of all attendees.
• Provide guidance and assistance to staff and attendees during crisis situations, including medical emergencies, fire alarms, or security breaches.

5. Operational Security and Confidentiality:

• Uphold strict operational security protocols to safeguard sensitive information and maintain client confidentiality.
• Exercise discretion and professionalism when dealing with high net worth individuals and their private affairs.
• Ensure compliance with privacy regulations and company policies regarding the handling of personal data and sensitive information.

Qualifications:

• Prior experience in military, law enforcement, or private security with a focus on close protection and event security.
• Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate effectively with diverse stakeholders, including high net worth individuals and VIP guests.
• Proven operational security instincts and the ability to anticipate and respond to potential security threats or risks.
• Ability to pass a detailed background check and meet all requirements for security licensure or certifications.
• Physical fitness and agility to perform security duties for extended periods and respond quickly to emergencies.
• Familiarity with event security protocols, emergency response procedures, and crowd management techniques.
• Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required for event coverage.
• Willingness to travel to event venues and client locations across Canada and the United States.
